Why the Change?

When we started with Access, the name made sense: it was about giving you secure access to your important information. But as the app evolved, we’ve realized our vision is bigger than access alone.

We’ve also discovered that “Access” – while meaningful to us – has made it challenging for new users to find the app. Whether searching the App Store or looking us up online, the name was simply too generic. We needed something unique, something that is more practical and distinctive.

Uplock solves this problem and captures exactly what the app is about: keeping your important items secure.

What Else Changes?

While the name and icon are new, nothing changes for your data and how the app works. Uplock works the same way as Access, with all the privacy and security protections you rely on still in place.

What you will notice is a fresh new icon and updated design for Liquid Glass. The new update keeps the familiar feel you know while making everything even more polished, and more at home on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and Apple Vision Pro.

What Happens Next?

Over the coming weeks, you’ll see the transition happening gradually. The app will update automatically, and all your data will seamlessly carry over.
