Uplock is a fast, native app that works on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and Apple Vision Pro. Built with the highest privacy and security standards, Uplock contains no third-party libraries or SDKs, such as trackers or analytics tools.
Everything you save syncs automatically through iCloud with Apple’s industry-leading iCloud encryption. Your data never goes anywhere else. With Advanced Data Protection for iCloud enabled, all information is end-to-end encrypted.

Built for Privacy and Security
Uplock is designed to make zero compromises on privacy or security. We use the latest Apple technologies to protect your data, with secure on-device storage and end-to-end encryption available with Advanced Data Protection for iCloud.
- iCloud encryption. All data saved in Uplock is encrypted in iCloud, using the same encryption as Photos, Notes, iCloud Drive, and Wallet apps.
- No external connections. Uplock connects only to trusted Apple services. Nothing is ever sent elsewhere. We have no servers of our own.
- No third party code. Uplock is built entirely in Swift, with zero third-party libraries or SDKs. No trackers. No analytics. No advertising frameworks—ever.
- Supports FaceID, TouchID and OpticID. For added protection, authenticate Uplock with FaceID, TouchID, OpticID, or your device passcode.
- Layers of data protection. Uplock uses multiple layers of data protection, including Apple platforms’ built-in security features and data protection APIs.

About the Developers
Hi/Bonjour!
We are Andre Baev and Simon Gardinier, Apple platforms developers based in Montréal who have been creating for Apple platforms for over a decade. We both started our careers as designers before moving into developing apps ourselves with Swift and SwiftUI. Design background gave us a strong foundation in crafting apps that are both functional and beautiful.
As developers, we care deeply about thoughtful design, privacy, and accessibility. Our mission is to create tools that make a difference in people’s lives.
Uplock began from a personal need. For a long time, we shared information with each other via shared notes in the Notes app. We appreciated the simplicity and the privacy protections of iCloud, but keeping everything organized was a big challenge. That’s when the idea for Uplock was born. Our vision for Uplock is to bring the trust, privacy and security of Apple’s technologies, with flexibility, convenience, and the polish of a native app.
